About the Gallery
Hentschel Art Gallery is a contemporary fine art gallery located in Des Moines, IA in the Shops at Roosevelt. The gallery is owned by Joan and Bruce Hentschel. Nationally and internationally recognized artists, as well as regional artists are featured in changing monthly exhibitions. In addition to our changing exhibitions, the gallery maintains an inventory of artwork in all media from our represented artists, as well as other artworks.

Tuesday - Friday, 10:30 - 5:00Saturday, 11 - 4:00 (Summer hours 10am - 2pm on Saturday) or by appointment

Take I-235 west of downtown. Exit 42nd Street. Turn right (north) on 42nd Street. Hentschel Art Gallery is on the right in The Shops at Roosevelt after you turn onto 42nd Street.
